Scudder opens new retirement account

Scudder announced it is opening the Scudder Retirement Plus Account, a no-fee retirement account for mutual funds and other investment products. It will provide investors access to over 60 no-load Scudder funds and more than 2,000 other funds.

The account works for any type of IRA -- traditional, Roth, Rollover or SEP -- as well as Keogh plans. It has no annual fee, no transaction fees on no-load funds, and discounts for stock trades. It includes IRA Resource Checking, which provides unlimited account access for investors over age 59 1/2. The minimum initial investment is $25,000.
