MetLife, American Express Form Alliance for 401(k) Business

MetLife and American Express Financial Advisors announced that they have entered into an agreement to market a 401(k) product to U.S. small businesses.
Under the agreement, MetLife's new Informed (k) 401(k) product will carry the American Express name and be available through 9,000 American Express Financial Advisors across the country. MetLife will provide record-keeping, administration, communications and investment services.
The program offers mutual funds and separate account-based investments from American Express Financial Advisors and MetLife, as well as six other fund families, which are available through MetLife group annuity contracts.
