Executive Moves

Kelli K. Hill has joined Sentinel Investments as vice president and co-manager of the Sentinel Capital Growth Fund, Sentinel Growth Leaders Fund and Sentinel Growth Opportunities Fund, working alongside Elizabeth R. Bramwell, senior vice president and lead portfolio manager of the funds.

Hill joins Sentinel from Ashfield Capital Partners, where she was lead manager on the All-Cap portfolio and a member of the investment team on the Large Cap Growth portfolio. Before that, Hill was an institutional portfolio manager and a member of the International Core and Large Cap Core Growth portfolio teams at Putnam Investments. "Kelli brings the right set of skills at the right time to the portfolios," Bramwell said. "Her broad investment experience and perspective will be a tremendous asset to the Sentinel team."

Fidelity Expands U.K. Fixed Income Office

Fidelity Investments has increased the size and capabilities of its London fixed income office, enhancing its ability to service institutional clients through Pyramis Global Advisors as well as Fidelity's mutual fund clients in the U.S.

In addition, Fidelity has hired James M. Stuttard as the office's first fixed income portfolio manager. Stuttard was previously head of European and U.K. fixed income and lead portfolio manager of global credit at Schroder Investment Management Ltd.

Also joining Fidelity are fixed income analysts Neil J. Beddall, Shaunn A. Griffiths and Lisa MacLachlan.

"We are very excited to add four investment professionals of this caliber to our fixed income team in London," said Christopher P. Sullivan, president of Fidelity's bond group. "Not only do they bring extensive experience in the global bond markets, they help us round out what will now be a full-service offering of fixed income portfolio management, research and trading for our clients through our London office. These hires are critical to our efforts to expand our global capabilities in non-U.S. dollar securities analysis and portfolio management. They will help us to provide a fully functioning, on-the-ground approach to fixed income for our institutional clients in Europe and the Middle East."

The new hires join eight research analysts and one trader currently in the office, established in 2008.

Beddall comes to Fidelity from Barclays Capital, where he worked for 31 years, most recently as a senior credit analyst and director. Griffiths comes to Fidelity from ING Commercial Banking, where he was a vice president and senior credit analyst. Griffiths was also an analyst with Chase Manhattan Bank and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi. MacLachlan was previously a fixed income portfolio manager at Aberdeen Asset Management.

DTCC Names Druskin Chairman of the Board

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation has named former Citigroup operations and technology chief Robert Druskin chairman of the board.

Donald F. Donahue remains chief executive officer. The move is part of an announced plan by the securities industry utility to improve governance by separating the roles of chairman and chief executive.

Druskin most recently was chairman of E-Trade Financial Corporation. He was named chairman and its interim chief executive officer of the online brokerage and banking firm at the end of 2009.

He is a former chief operating officer of Citigroup.

The separation of chairman and CEO roles "follows the global standard for corporate governance, and aims to ensure optimal checks and balances between the businesses and risk control functions," said Art Certosimo, presiding director of DTCC's board of directors.

Druskin assumes his position on April 18. Donahue will report to Druskin, but continue to oversee the company's domestic and international businesses, operations, technology and other functions, such as customer outreach and staff areas, reporting to Druskin.

Druskin spent nearly 16 years at Citigroup and predecessor companies. He spent four years at Citi's global corporate and investment banking division, first as president and chief operating officer, then as chief executive officer.

He also served as Citigroup's chief operations and technology officer, overseeing its operations and technology organization globally, as well as shared services and business continuity initiatives.
