Calvert Will Offer On-line Personal Advisor Service
January 17, 2000
Calvert Group of Bethesda, Md. is adding a personal financial advisor service to its website in early February, the company announced.
The service will match investors with an advisor based on the investors' zip codes, preferences for a male or female advisor and their social concerns.
Calvert is adding the service because of the demand for financial advice that has surfaced through its website, according to Julie Davis, a marketing manager for Calvert Group. Thirty percent of those who visit the site have indicated they want to be referred to a personal financial advisor, she said.
Calvert is the first socially-responsible fund company to offer a personal advisor search service on its website, according to Elizabeth Laurienzo, a spokesperson.
