AGF Management Expands to Tokyo, Beijing

AGF Management Ltd. of Toronto will open offices in Tokyo and Beijing as part of its strategy to expand its international business, the company has announced.

AGF is the first Canadian mutual fund company to open a branch office in Japan and a representative office in China, the company said.

The Japanese office was scheduled to open June 1 and the Beijing office, May 31.

AGF began establishing ties with China more than a decade ago, said Blake Goldring, president and chief operating officer of AGF.

Currently, AGF has 45 mutual funds and more than $22 billion in assets under management.
