Jeffrey Carney has been named president of the Canadian division of Fidelity Investments of Boston. Carney had been executive vice president of TD Bank of Toronto, in charge of its retail distribution business.

Gary French will join Zurich Scudder Investments of Boston as managing director of investment operations. French had been with United Asset Management Corporation of Boston, where he was president of UAM Fund Services.

Charles van Horne has been named director of marketing and client services at Abbott Capital Management of New York. Previously, van Horne was a managing director at AIG Capital Partners of New York.
