NICSA Expands Audience For Online Training Program
April 22, 2002
The National Investment Company Service Assoc. expects interest in its online Mutual Fund Industry Specialist (MFIS) Certificate Program will shortly extend beyond fund executives to financial planners and brokers.
With fund companies concerned that their representatives are not doing a good enough job educating clients, NICSA's online learning center could find another audience in these representatives in the months ahead, said Kathleen O'Halloran, NICSA's director of education.
There is also interest in the program coming from abroad. According to NICSA president Barbara Weidlich, requests have come in from Australia and Europe. "So many companies are owned by American firms and find our program a good building block for their employees," she said.
