Ancora Advisors recently hired three senior executives: Denis J. Amato, executive vice president and chief investment officer, equities; James M. Bernard, senior vice president and senior portfolio manager, fixed income; and Alan G. Miller, vice president and portfolio manager.

The three previously worked with Ancora Chief Executive Officer Frederick DiSanto and founder and Chairman Richard Barone at Maxus Investment Group, which merged with Fifth Third Bank in 2001.

Amato was the chief investment officer for the banks Northeast Ohio region. He also managed two value mutual funds along with individual and institutional portfolios. We are delighted that Denis, Jim and Alan have joined Ancora, DiSanto said. Their long-term financial performance and high level of client service instilled great trust with their clients, and many of these long-term clients have followed them to Ancora. Adding these veteran investment professionals gives us exceptional depth and experience.
