Social Investment Forum Recruits Two PR Execs

The Social Investment Forum has hired Meg Voorhes as deputy director of the organization and director of research. Formerly a member of the forum's board of directors, Voorhes is a longtime industry veteran who most recently was director of environmental, social and governance research for the financial research and analysis division of RiskMetrics Group. She spent much of her career at the Investor Responsibility Research Center, which RiskMetrics acquired in 2005. There, she specialized in investing in South Africa.

The forum has also tapped Rachel MacKnight as director of communications and marketing. MacKnight has worked as a public relations, communications and marketing executive for more than 15 years, including stints serving the nation's leading cancer and public health scientists. She was also press secretary to U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski and has worked with the National Endowment for the Arts and the John Hopkins School of Public Health.

Evergreen Promotes Five In Muni Bond Division

Evergreen Investments has made a number of changes in its municipal bond division, most notably promoting Portfolio Manager Mathew Kiselak, who oversees several municipal bond mutual funds, to head of the unit.

Municipal bond team members Dennis Derby, Ladson Hart, Charles Jeanne and James Randazzo have all been named co-managers on fund products across the platform.

Schmidt, Brogan, Herndon Join RevenueShares

With no end in sight for growth in exchange-traded funds, RevenueShares has hired Robert Schmidt, Brian Brogan and Mike Herndon to help the firm manage the tremendous demand for its ETFs.

"Robert, Brian and Mike bring extensive industry experience to the firm as we continue to develop our ETF offerings and enhance our services," said Sean O'Hara, president of RevenueShares. "Their arrival coincides with several additions to our marketing and business development, IT, research and institutional staff."

Schmidt is now managing director, in charge of the broker/dealer and registered investment advisor channel. With 25 years of experience, Schmidt has held senior positions with Salomon Brothers, AXA Financial and Pershing Managed Accounts, where he was a director.

Now vice president of institutional, Brogan will also contribute research. He comes to the firm from H.G. Wellington, where he was an institutional sales and research analyst. He also worked in various capacities at US Allianz Securities, ING Americas and Morgan Stanley.

Herndon is now a managing director with RevenueShares' national management team, in charge of working with registered reps and RIAs. Most recently with Goldman Sachs, Herndon has also held sales positions with Ivy Mackenzie, Munder Capital and Bank of America.
