Providing Comparative Analysis of Mutual Fund Service Providers Since 1986.

Answering the Call...

Fiscal cliff…sequestration…spending cuts…debt ceiling.

You can’t access the Internet, turn on the TV, listen to the radio or pick up a paper without being bombarded by new financial words and phrases.

And for the past 27 years, the Mutual Fund Service Guide has answered the call of mutual fund operations and marketing executives.

Now there are two ways to access the rankings, commentaries and profiles that the MFSG has to offer.

The Mutual Fund Service Guide interactive version is now in its second year. Compared to the print version it is still in its infancy but it has a 27-year-old mentor.

An advisor, if you will, to “guide” its online offspring in areas such as:

  • Vendor capabilities listed in detailed chart form
  • Information on vendors’ assets, number of accounts and number of clients
  • Relevant commentaries from industry leaders
  • Company profiles listing services and contact information

The Mutual Fund Service Guide categories have also grown in response to the ever-changing mutual fund industry.

In keeping with today’s relevant topics, a Regulation/Compliance section was added and continues to keep pace with this category. Compliance services covered include: Regulatory Compliance; SEC Initiatives; CCO Services; EDGAR; Blue Sky and FINRA Monitoring and Compliance Software.

Subaccounting is increasing in popularity as a process for clearing mutual funds. This category debuted in the 2010 issue.

Mutual fund companies compare and select appropriate fund accounts or systems providers by researching the statistics offered in Fund Accounting.

Highlighting foreign and domestic services and technology available from remote and full-service agents, the Transfer Agent section compares the specialties of various vendors and points out firms offering proprietary TA systems for sale or lease.

Decision-makers can assess their custodial relationships and research current offerings, the latest in system developments and up-to-date financial resources available to mutual fund companies. Operations looking to grow their business turn to Shareholder Communications for CRM, Mail, Marketing Communications, Pricing, Print, Proxy and VRU services.

Who knows what’s next? A MFSG app, perhaps?
