Providing Comparative Analysis of Mutual Fund Service Providers Since 1986.
Content Change is Good
Whether you picked up the 2015 issue of the Mutual Fund Service Guide at the ICI conference or received it in the mail, youll notice a subtle change.
Rather than the Industry Commentaries being at the beginning of each category, they are now distributed throughout their respective sections. When paired with the charts, the reader can compare the editorial and the data.
One of the things I noticed when compiling this years guide was the recurrence of certain words in the commentary titles. If we were able to do a print Google search for key words, the following would turn up:
Regulatory Spotlight on Systemic Risk Underscores New Data Challenges for Asset Managers from Todd Moyer of Confluence
Hedge Fund Managers Demand for Data: Creating Portal Applications by Steven Gargano of U.S Bancorp
Launch Considerations for a Liquid Alternative Fund by Daniel Kramer of BNY Mellon
Launching Exchange-Traded Funds in an Evolving Marketplace from Mike Castino of U.S. Bancorp
DIG DEEP: Managing Exposure to Distribution In Guise DIG by Steven Price of ALPS
Costly Oversight: How to Ensure Your Board Understands Distribution Arrangements by Jeff Young of Huntington Asset Services
Compliance Considerations for Managers of Alternative Mutual Funds by Vicki Hulick of ACA Compliance Group
Getting the Message Right: Compliant Communications and Correspondence from National Regulatory Services NRS
The Mutual Fund Service Guide website at mmexecutive.com/mutual-fund-guide/ also experienced a transformation in 2015. The charts under Ranking & Statistics are now easier to navigate. The drop down menu in the Choose a Product section is now more user friendly.
Speaking of changes, see whats in store when the Mutual Fund Service Guide turns 30 next year.
