Pioneer Taps Stack as Growth Opportunities Fund Manager
Specialist in Small- Mid-Cap Growth

Pioneer Investments has selected Brian E. Stack as manager of the Pioneer Growth Opportunities Fund. A 21-year veteran of the mutual fund industry, Stack has specialized in small- and mid-cap growth.
“Brian has had tremendous success over his career,” said Kenneth J. Taubes, head of U.S. portfolio management at Pioneer. “His is a highly respected specialist in his field and is a welcome addition to the Pioneer Investments’ team.”
Stack comes to the firm from hedge fund Long Tail Investment Management, which he co-founded. Before that, he co-founded another hedge fund, Cyllenius Capital Management, now owned by BlackRock. He also worked for MFS Investment Management and Robertson Stephens & Co., Advest, Needham & Co. and Chase Manhattan Bank.
